if you get killed by a Kaalakiota scout with Wiyrkomi Swarms, advanced AV nades, or std proxies
I just now got SL to proto so I will use it for a while in skirms just to annoy people, I am tempted to use dmg mods but so far it seems to pack enough punch to not need them
I made over 1k wp destroying LAV's tanks and drop ships, and they just kept on coming, the suit only costs me about 30k isk I only died 3 times but I only got 1 kill as anyone that got hit bailed and the only kill I did get was a proto heavy that bailed out of his tank but I shot him down with a BP

did you not read the title? its a friendly warning to anyone that does not like to lose their precious little toys, i gave out the specs so they know what to expect
if you see me in match ill be easier to identify therefore you will be aware and not spam vehicals for me to destroy or keep on spawning them so I can get more WP's

True Adamance wrote: Cool. Though I am attempting to inform you of what is typically the mindset of a prototype content user. Losing such great impacts them little.
I am well aware of that and I still think that you don't get what I am saying, I am the one using the protato
the people I am warning are those that can't afford to lose that shiny new ADS or that ADV tank that they thought was invincible

I've killed proto tanks with those, place them behind a tank without being noticed flank around and hit them from the front with packed AV nades they start to run and the proxies finish them off

he hasn't commented again yet, and it's not arguing if neither side is apposing the other which I am certainly not however I am explaining myself for those that may not comprehend the magnitude of my words

Protato: a suit that has some proto components but is not full proto
at least that's what I consider it, I don't think anyone else is using the term and if they are probably not in the way I mention it, a full proto drop suit is just plain proto
one must embrace the hybrid to be a true protato user

Squagga wrote:Hmm,I dunno. I do this a lot, and it always seems to come at an ISK loss for me. I do standard CalAss with wyrkomi proto launchers and standard av nades? I forget off hand. Have been thinking about getting into those proxies though, now that ranks can out run my av nades
the suit itself is free for me std suits cost 3k isk each which doesn't seem like much but it can add up, the thing that matters most is the SL since most of the cost comes from there
3 std myos cost 780 isk each a total of 2,340 isk each SL comes in at 28,845 isk the BP is a measly 675 isk std packed AV nades are 2,010 a pop std Nanohives 900 a pop std proxies are 1,500 a pop and last but not least basic cardio reg which is 720 isk a total sum of 36,900 isk
the trick is to flank around near the beginning of the match and set up in a spot where you wont get engaged by infantry but you have a clear line of sight at any vehicles being deployed, either stay close to your team or stay as far away from the fighting as possible without putting yourself in direct danger from snipers scouts or anyone with long range weaponry try to keep something in between you and them if possible such as a hill or a building, fairly easy to do in skirms as many drop ships and tanks will try to go around from point to point as well as LAV's, its not as easy as lock on and fire many people think its easy to kill with swarms but even LAV's can take two direct shots mostly only Methana's and they can easily out speed and outmaneuver the swarms (locking on and firing directly up can help so that the swarms go around ground obstacles or ledges) most Tanks will be able to survive all three shots so try to weaken them first with AV nades or proxies before firing or set up traps so that when they start to run away they will pop, Drop ships are the easiest to take care of but they are also the fastest and can avoid swarms altogether if they are good pilots firing at them from specific angles so they hit structures is a great way to make sure they cant retreat, also if they fly low hit them with an AV nade first then swarms
I have another AV fitting that is an ADV cal Assault with and ADV SL it comes in at 48,135 but is far more survival then the scout but it also has less AV potential as you give up proxies its a bit slower and overall it costs more then its worth but its good enough to be a front line AV just as long as you don't try to chase after kills and watch your back
2 complex myos 2 complex precision enhancers ADV SL & Magsec ADV AV nade ADV K-2 Nanohive Enhanced Cardio reg Enhanced damp
